Historic CocktailsOn December 5th, 1933, the 21st ammendment ended a 13 year ban on alcoholic beverages in the United States. Three years later, construction of Timberline Lodge began. Although guests could bring their own alcoholic beverages, and the Blue Ox operated as a "bottle bar", the lodge itself was essentially dry until 1953, at which time, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission issued the lodge it's first license to sell liquor by the drink.
